Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Depending on how you use Zodiac Zips, we collect:

  • Marketing signups: your email address, optional zodiac sign, and which list you joined (collectibles, astrology readings, or astrology content)
  • Reading orders: your name, email, birth date, birth time and its precision, birthplace, your question, and — for relationship readings — the same details for a second person you are authorized to share
  • First Light orders: checkout and order information, transactional email status, delivery, bounce and failure events, reading-access timestamps, request identifiers, and refund or dispute history
  • Payment: handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers
  • Operational data: bot-protection signals (Cloudflare Turnstile), IP address, browser and device information, and coarse rate-limiting data derived from your IP address

2. How we use birth information

Birth details exist for one purpose: preparing your reading. They are stored separately from marketing records, shared only with the astrologer assigned to your order when a human reading is purchased, processed by the AI reading system for First Light, never displayed publicly, never sold, and never used for advertising or analytics.

3. Marketing preferences

Each marketing list is a separate opt-in with double confirmation. Joining the collectibles list does not subscribe you to astrology emails, and vice versa. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; bounce and complaint signals automatically suppress future sends.

4. Service providers

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional and marketing email
  • Sentry — application monitoring and operational alerting
  • Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB) — data storage
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection
  • Scheduling provider (e.g. Calendly) — booking live readings

5. Retention and deletion

Unconfirmed signups expire automatically. Order and intake records are retained as long as needed to deliver your reading, handle refunds, and meet accounting obligations. You may request access to or deletion of your data at contact@zodiaczips.com; we will honor requests subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Why we use operational records

Transactional email and reading-access records support product fulfillment, customer support, security, fraud prevention, refund administration, payment dispute evidence, and service reliability. Access tracking helps confirm that a private reading link worked; it does not prove that a human read an email.
